Smith & Wesson has given the Bodyguard 380 an M&P make over. I predict this will be a VERY popular gun in the caliber.
Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard 380
Here’s a video of the new gun from Range Day at this year’s Shot Show.
This is nothing new! the handgun has been around for a while. Certainly not new for the 2014 shot show.
William – this is a new version for 2014 that’s sleeker since it excludes the laser and has a design more consistent with the M&P line. They also added a second magazine with purchase.
I think I would like it better without lathe laser but I’m the type that think a laser for the most part is a waste. Does anyone know how much they r going to be selling for
MSRP is $379. Quantico Tactical is taking pre-orders on the gun for $299 plus $25 shipping for Mil, LEO’s, and First Responders. Not sure where the civilian pricing will fall. Somewhere in between obviously.
I bought my 2014 BodyGuard at Palmetto State Armory for $329. The second mag with the flat base plate is useless. You do need the longer base plate for two fingers. 300 rounds and no failures. I did notice the growing pain between my pointer finger and thumb after firing for so long. Overall the gun sighted well and was great to shoot. No issues with fit or finish. Easy to break down to clean. Directions in manual are incorrect. It says to move the level to 6pm. Actually its more like 9pm. I read on another web site they redesigned the lever.
Very snappy pistol not much fun to shoot, better go with the the shield even if its a little bigger, it shoots a lot smoother.
Being a Shield owner, I can attest to it being a smooth shooter. Excellent firearm.
I carry a shield 9everyday everywhere.i have a bodyguard my wife carries it a great gun for her
I second that!
